OD? Reverse? I am at my wits end here.. 200 1985

I seriously don't know how much more of this I can take.

I had a bum OD, so I replaced it with one I got. It took forever to take the old one out (and it was shot) and replace it, but I did. I finally got it back on Wednesday, and test drove it this morning and everything was fine (although I didn't get up to speed to test the OD part of it). Reverse was fine. 1st was fine. 2nd was fine. 3rd was fine. 4th was fine. No slipping, no noises, no hesitation, nothing whatsoever. It ran just like it did before my OD bought the farm.

So I decided to take it to IPD to have them give it a once-through to see if I had done everything correctly, etc...when blammo...while backing out of my driveway my reverse barely engages.

So I'm back at square one with the damn thing, and I'm almost at the point where I don't care anymore.
