Crack in the block... Is this supposed to be there? 120-130 1966

I'm in the process of painting the B-20 to put into my 122, and I noticed a bit of a crack / slit on the block that doesn't look as though it belongs there.

It's right under where the timing cover goes. (I have it masked off for painting)

Here's a picture. I've pointed to the slit with the red arrow.

Is that supposed to be there?

If not, is this a deal breaker for this engine? I just had it machined, I'd hate to scrap the block at this point.

Thanks as always!
