switching to carbs 140-160

I'm a big believer in twin SUs. The bother of tuning them is overemphasized and probably comes from people trying to tune 6 SUs on a Jag V12. I would not bother with a single carb, that would be a step back, I think a decent set of SUs well tuned will give good performance and economy as well as NEVER letting you down. ( I have yet to imagine how an SU could fail so quickly and fully that I could not make it home). You will need a donor car to make the switch easy as the throttle linkage is a little fussy, though now that I think of it you could use a cable set up from a more modern to make the change easier (might not be too pretty though)
