How bad did I mess up? 900

my '94 940 is currently riding on 185/60/R15s. The tires need to be replaced.

I just bought a set of used 190/65/15s from a 97 960. The wheels sure look like they'll fit on the car but the reference section in the FAQ says its a no-go.

Must I get the tires switched over to my existing steel rims? Or can I use a spacer? If so, what size? Or can I just mount them on the car as they are?
