I own two pair. For flooring. The second pair was an upgrade because the first was uncomfortable. The 'spensive ones are also uncomfortable. Fine if all you are doing is kneeling, but when you stand up the pads move, the jeans bunch up, and even the ones with double straps don't stay where they belong.

Phone book sounds like a renewable version of an old boat cushion. Old McMaster, Grainger, and now DigiKey catalogs are ten times thicker than our phone books.
