Headlight relay 200 1991

Hi Wes,

Progress!

That hole looks like a rub through to me, but it could be a burn through to closer inspection. Either way, it is mighty suspect.

But so is that photo of you looking for power on the gray wire. The relay is unplugged in that photo, which is just dandy for testing the yellow wire you just fixed under the console (even though it was the red/blue). The relay has to be plugged in to expect the power on the gray wire leading to the bulb out sensor. Probe it from the wire side of the plug. Yes, you may have to dismount the relay from its bracket to reach.

Anyhow, operate the high beam lever to make that step relay cycle. The overheated connector on it looks to be the high-beam portion of the circuit.

If you have to get all the way to the bulb out sensor, just test the wires going in, poking the test light probe in the back with the device still plugged in. Gray in, and blue wires out.

I bet you already have it solved as I'm writing this.

Two Innuit people sitting in a kayak were chilly, but when they lit a fire in the craft, it sank, proving once again that you can't have your kayak and heat it, too.
