oil leak at turbo filter send and return fittings 900 1991

Your 1991 car has one o-ring between the oil filter housing and what is called the oil cooler adapter, and another o-ring between the block and the oil cooler adapter. There is a large nut you can see with the oil filter off, 1-1/16" I think. The picture below shows the oil cooler adapter and the oil filter housing.

You'll need either the black of green o-ring shown in the picture below, depending on your year of car and whether you need the o-ring at the block, or where the oil cooler adapter and oil filter housing meet. The o-ring must fit correctly. You'll probably need some stiff grease to hold it in place.



Later turbo cars (1992+) use a different oil cooler (engine coolant to oil heat exchanger) which uses a square cross section o-ring between the oil filter housing and the oil cooler adapter. I just replaced it on my 1994 944T.
