Leaking rear coil seals S90-V90

I took my car in for basic oil change on a 'service promotion' and when I returned to pick up my car, I was told that the "rear coil seals are leaking" and that the recommendation is to replace the front and rear valve cover gaskets and spark plugs". The price quoted was approximately $1000.

Is this a repair that is likely to be picked up during an oil change? I assume that there must have been oil leaking under the block that the technician noticed when he had the car on the hoist changing out the filter??

Any comments or suggestions?
