Upper A Arm Bushings Install 120-130

Hello,

What else have you done to the front end?

The reason I ask is about a year ago, the former president of the Western VSA club came to us to work on his 1800.

He had just changed his upper and lower ball joints himself and was complaining about a bad squeak.

About 3 months before, I had replaced the upper bushings with polyurethanes from IPD, and I thought maybe I had not lubed the bushings correctly so I re-lubed.

And the car still squeaked badly.

I located the squeak coming from his BRAND NEW SCANTECH upper ball joints.

Why were they squeaking?

The were squeaking because someone at Scantech thinks that ball joints do not need to be greased before they are assembled.

We had to carefully removed the springs holding the dust boot on and insert some grease and magically the squeak went away.
