B234 timing belt and oil pump pulley. 900

Doing the timing belt on my 91' 945 GLE. It has the b234 16 valve engine. Has anyone changed the oil pump pulley and how did you go about holding it while taking the bolt out. I have access to air tools but am a little leary of that way since I dont want it to snap off. I also have a 10.9 bolt to install instead of the 8.8. Has anyone used the torque spec of 40 ft lbs in the 700/900 FAQ, instead of the torque angle method without any problems?
Thanks in advance!
