5.5" Wide Stock Wheels from Sweden and Fitment Question 444-544 1965

Someone turned me on to a Swedish vendor modifying original 544 wheels to be 5.5 inches wide. This sounds perfect because unlike 6 inch wheels, these sit inside the fender a little. That keeps the car looking more classic and still supports an ideal modern tire size. How would I know? I bought 5.5 inch Minilites. Something went quite wrong up front though and the king pin assembly(?) scraped the insides.

I am a little worried this could happen with these wheels too, though he sounds confident of their fit and I feel Targett Motorsports must have sold me slightly incorrect Minilites.

To make things more confusing, I will be going to Amazon discs in the front and maybe one day in the rear. So, is there any way to predict if these wheels will fit short of just ordering them?
