A source for nichrome wire - Rewind your fuel tank sender unit! 120-130

Going through my Antique Electronic Supply catalog I just noticed that they sell Nichrome wire by the foot; 20 foot minimum.

26, 28, 30 and 35 gauge; Perhaps one of these sizes is a good match for that used on the sender unit. You would want to match the resistance of the original wire; the ohms per foot specs for different gauges are listed.

Anyhow, I know Brickboard members are mostly a bunch of cheapskates ;) So if you're desperate you could try to repair your sender unit.
