V90 Door handle. S90-V90

Well it happened the little plastic part on the exterior door handle broke that attaches to the hook inside the door broke.

Now I am looking for a replacement, so far the options seem unreasonable.

The dealer does not sell the part, wants to sell a entire handle assembly for $97.

I can get used ones from a junk yard for $30, which when dealing with plastic could be just as brittle and break in a short time.

Groton sells 740 handles for $30 I could knock out the pin and swap it, if it will work on a v90 handle. Does anyone know if this works?

Or is there a source for a new little plastic part that anyone knows of?
