Hey Jim!
Sorry I couldn't do you any good on the distributor.
Just to make sure your cam isn't giving you grief, I'd check the valve lift on all of them.
They should all lift at least 3/8".
Your problem reminds me a bit of a problem I had with Li'l Red years ago and it turned
out to be a flat cam lobe.
Are both float bowls full? Anything in the intake manifold holding it up?
How about the vent holes on the aircleaner flange? If those are blocked the pistons
won't lift.
