piston oilers 900

What year did Volvo start installing the piston skirt oilers in the B230FT. I have a low mileage spare motor here from a 92 940T that I would like to use to replace my rather clackety 91 engine with 280000km. But I am not sure it would be worth the effort if the spare motor does not have the oilers.
Also, if I were to pull th eoil pan to inspect it, where and what would I be looking for in term of the oilers.
TIA
John D
