EMERGENCY POST!!!!! OIL IN WATER, BUT NO WATER IN OIL!! 700

Have oil floating in water resevoir (small droplets, and film)..... but oil is clean, no signs of water after continued driving for about 8 miles... what could this be.... Car overheated and first instinct is head gasket, I then took out thermostat and car ran without overheating.. but with a turbo, could there be any other options? No smoke when cranked up, no water blowing (help piece of white paper behind exhaust, no evidence of water/oil).. HOWEVER, I DO HAVE SOME OIL MISTING OUT ONTO BACK WINDOW. Head gasket is main idea, but any other options, or other suggestions would be welcome. How hard is it to change a headgasket? Thanks
