Stalling on cold start after being left out in the rain 200 1992

When the car is left out in a large downpour overnight, it tends to stall from a cold start. Yesterday, after two days out in the rain the engine spluttered and took some warming up to get going smoothly. On another occasion, the car started normally, and then stalled after 1km, and kept stalling for a while until I gave it more time to warmup.

I have checked the distributor cap and it's all good. I am just wondering if someone could give me a few pointers as to which electrics I should look at for wetness that's causing all this?

Thanks!
