1994 940 headlight problem 900 1994

We just bought a 1994 940 wagon,196k, the headlights go on and off intermittantly (both sides) swapped bulbs; same problem. Could this be related to the aftermarket stereo? saw some other posts that looked similar
also not working or works sometimes:
fuel gauge
sunroof
fast flicker on left turn signal; then works fine
