My timing belt broke on my 745, 230FT. Now, I have very little power, and I can't find the source. Tightened turbo blow off valve (which was a little loose) but no change. Checked for holes or weak hoses to turbo and on turbo side, intercooler, and on the intake side. Don't see a thing. Drove it around the neighborhood just to see if the compression angels had paid me a visit today, and stopped once to look under the hood to see if there was anything different after engine got heated up and I noticed the turbo-side manifold was glowing -- although I had manually revved the engine trying to listen/see what might be amiss. Disconnected MAF sensor and the car ran much worse. Never been in a car with noticably off timing, could the technician who replaced the timing belt not set the timing accurately? Noticed while driving (putt-putting) around neighborhood that when speed is 20-25 turbo spools up to 12-1:00 position and when I give it gas at that point the car hesitates then lurches before sorta smoothing out but power for the most part is just limp factor x 1. Don't have a lot more money to put into this car, and I love it, ... but a car that doesnt run right is like no car at all. I can only drive it safely at 20-25 mph around the neighborhood. Any ideas on troubleshooting further are GREATLY appreciated.
