fender ground function 900 1993

Thanks Bruce,

I was kind of suspecting that (no ignition related grounds)given your previous posts on this subject. The reason I zeroed in on that ground is that it was one of only 2 or 3 trivial repairs I made the day I "fixed" the car a few months ago. One of the others was removing the distributor cap and buffing the connections there. I have repeated that since with no effect. So I probably moved a few wires and disconnected a few connectors as well that day, but can't remember exactly what. The thing that is puzzling is that the "fix" produced night and day results wheras the decay to the previous condition has been gradual. It seems to be worse when wet out. The distributor rotor (block mounted distributor) was badly pitted when I bought the car, but replacing it produced no changes. I'm planning on soldering some new islets on the brown and black grounds to the manifold incase the crimp connectors I used are not making good contact.

Ron
