Any helpful tips to replacing control arm/wishbone bushings??? 120-130

So I acquired my '65 122 in December 2008. I am just getting around to getting it aligned after noticing recently that the tires or wearing a bit unevenly. The shop told me however that the upper control arm bushings are shot, not allowing proper alignment.

So I gotta get this done. I drove over to IPD and picked up the front end Poly kit.

Does anyone have any helpful tips that will make the job easier as opposed to what my shop manual suggests? In one manual it gives a seemingly simple process with simple handtools, but then another says that it requires a press?

Thanks!
