...sound like two separate problems...Non-working Directional Indicators but AMP Indicator ON full is typical symptom of open Fuse 1 or its connections (superficial cleaning will often not address true cause*...you probably need a reworked FB with guaranteed good connections).

...and needing to bump dashboard to get things to work suggest a loose connection...I'd locate loose connection by some more specific probing around (I'd start at the IGN switch) and replace it with a clean and tight connection!
