I'm surprised 10 degrees did that.

I have used the trick that another poster mentioned in hooking up the timing light to a different 12v source. It does work. But if you recall, the timing marks are on the flywheel and accessed through a hole in the bell housing. It's kind of tough to get a good look in there when peeking through the heater hoses and around the heater core itself. That's why I was hoping someone happened to know the static setting - it's much easier I think anyway.

I was thinking of trying 2-3 degrees static and see what happens.
I'm curious if it will turn over any easier. Just put a new battery in it and it is definately better than the 7 year old battery that was in there, but still was a little slow turning over this morning.

Haven't had this car on the road for two years.
Damn, it feels good to be out there again. Having a hard time wiping the smile from my face. Just can't get over what a fun car a 544 is. Even with only 1600 cc.
