On a more serious note - oil breather 120-130 1967

I have a Weber carb with a B18. I installed a PCV valve (correct version) and routed the hose to the intake area on the right side of the carb. An air intake hose is routed from the air filter to the top of the oil filler cap. At idle, all appears to be well. I get vacuum at the air cleaner end so that air is being drawn through the system correctly.

But, I am pushing oil out of the dipstick. About 1 quart of oil per tank of gasoline.

When I rev up the engine, there appears to be too much vacuum and the PCV valve closes. That seems to be the initial problem.

Did I install the valve upside down???

I just got my engine degreased, otherwise I would have never found the problem existed. And now, I would like to keep what little red is exposed on the block red.

Thanks,
Klaus
