I found my deep seated problem 120-130 1967

FWD advice eh? I apologize for hijacking this thread somewhat, but...
Would a broken flex pipe (just upstream from the rear converter) on my daughter's S40 cause a check engine light?

It's strange to think that this is the first time I've encountered a check engine light on any car. Maybe I should just stick to cars that never came with catalytics.

Going to purchase a ScanGauge II as I don't think this will be the only check engine light I'll ever encounter.
