Check engine light 900

I don't know what it is about this V90/960 that I own but it continues to come up with weird things to drive me crazy. The check engine light has been on for a while and as I had a sale for it I decided to try and fix it. I replaced both O2 sensors with no change so I then replaced the cat and it fixed the problem. For about 130 kms! Then the local Volvo experts told me I had a bad O2 sensor which was changed ($400) fixed the problem. For about 5 kms! Now they tell me it can't be fixed because it is some kind of ground problem or a bad ECU. Can anyone help with this problem or do I now own a very big an expensive lawn ornament that only gets about 20 miles to the imperial gallon on the highway?
