S40 flex pipe 120-130 1967

No only does it make more noise, it introduces air into the exhaust and makes a mess of the sensors.

While you are under the hood, check the engine mounts and the exhaust hangers. The flex pipes only crack because of excessive 'flexing'.

EDIT: Most autoparts stores will lend you a scanner for parking lot use, free! Autozone and Pepboys will have someone scan the codes for you but will not clear the codes.
