What is the best Dexron IID or alternate for the AW70? (87 740GLE non-turbo) 700 1987

Any issues with running Redline ATF for Dexron II applications? Kind pricey, but worth it? My car has 219k miles, and I had the fluid done at one of those stupid Chevron Oil Stops 2 years ago. It shifts fine, but almost stalls when cold in "R". Not sure what causes this.

I'm having the filter and rear bushing replaced, and trans flushed on Tuesday.
