760 Intermittent Overdrive

The FAQ section you want begins at:

http://www.brickboard.com/FAQ/700-900/TransmissionAuto.htm#OverdriveRelay

If you don't need the OD lockout function, it's worth considering simply disabling the feature so that OD is always available to the tranny, either by removing the solenoid and installing the IPD bypass plate, or by grinding the channel into the head of the solenoid with a dremel as shown in the FAQ. This saves the headaches of correctly diagnosing the immediate problem, and is one less thing to break in the future.
