Weird one: A/C Compressor never turns off - ever heard of this? 900

Just bought this '94 940 non-turbo and have been waiting for some warmer days to try out the A/C. A/C works! Only problem is, it seems to constantly work, as in: never turns off!

I verified this by unplugging the compressor. That is the only time it stops turning. So whether the fan switch is on or off, whether the A/C switch is on/off and regardless of where the climate direction is pointed, the compressor runs. Might explain my poorer than expected gas mileage.

Anyone ever heard of this? Does the Climate Control module seem like the likely culprit?
