HOW to evaluate rear bushings? Sight? Wiggle? 200 1992

I am sorry this seems to be such a newbie question!

But after all the work of dismantling the shocks/axle/rear trailing arms... I see that THOSE rear trailing arm bushings seem to have been replaced. (The car has > 200 k miles.) They are not split, rotten, spongy... (I am chasing a saggy butt, and a real irritating rattle!)

I guess I better start putting it together again. Poo.

How, please, can I evaluate the TRACK rod and TORQUE rod bushings, which I can just barely see? Wiggle? Pry? Shake? Probe with a pick?

I DO see one where rubber-eating carpenter ants have been starting to work; kinda obvious. Otherwise, what's to do?

Thanks!

P.S. I did the FRONT bushings (control arm, rear) on the weekend, and was pleased to see one fall apart (so I replaced it, eh?), but also pleased to see one grin at me intact, so I let it be.
