Some air conditioning questions

The 94 940 w/287K gave up it's compressor. Got a Chinese model that is an exact fit and put it on, along with a new accumulator receiver.

Indie shop flushes system, pulls vac, puts in correct weight of R134 - on the low side connection. He is at a loss, wondering why there is NO HIGH SIDE connection (Is there?).

Issues.
It cycles on and off and then stops. Compressor will start but not run.

I am thinking it is the A/C Control Unit in the car that was acting up before, even when there was a bit of an old air conditioner. He says that he can't see that being the issue.

Ideas or pointers appreciated. I do have a new (used) A/C Control Unit ready to try. I will spring for a rebuilt control unit if necessary, but would rather hold onto that 1998.00 if I can.

Thanks for any and all help.
