Intermittant start ups. 700

I have a seemingly rare condition in that sometimes my brick will start immediately and other times not. It seems to start immediately during cold days as opposed to warm ones, today after constant cranking I tried applying the gas pedal and she started right up. She recently was tuned up and the intake fuel pump is three years old. Never have a broblem driving, only start ups. Any suggestions?
