Choke wire question 120-130

I have a 1960 122S and the choke has stopped working shortly after having the carburetors rebuit. I still run a B-16B and ordered a replacement wire from Swedish Treasures, but my mechanic has insisted it is the wrong cable... He is telling me it is a pull and turn choke, which is not how it used to be.

Anyone have any expertise that I could pick your brain on how to tell if the wire is going to work?

Thanks in advance for the ideas!
