740 will not start 700 1992

I have a 1992 740 wagon about 210,000 miles. I went to start it today after having it sit idle for a few days, and.....nothing. It fired, ran for a few seconds then nothing after crank and crank and crank. I figured that there might be some condensation in the distributor or plug wires or that it had flooded.

So I popped the hood, let it sit in the sun for a few hours and tried again. Same thing. Run for a second or two then nothing. Yes there is gas in the tank.

Assuming that I had spark, because it had briefly fired, I disconnected the fuel line at the injector bar, turned the key on briefly and a strong spurt of gasoline came out. Tried again--nothing. I also removed the fuse panel put my finger on the injector relay and felt a "click" when turned the key, so that relay seems to work. Now it is getting dark, and I cannot find the(fairly recently replaced)radio interference suppressor relay, but I will resume my search in the morning.

One last thing before I came in to submit this I pulled off the coil wire at the base of the coil (Regina) tried to fire it, and was surprised to see not spark even in the failing light. I will go back out tomorrow and resume my diagnostics.

But in the mean time, can anyone offer some suggestion about what might be going on or any obvious thing that I may have missed? Additionally if anyone could post a picture of the radio suppressor relay that would be helpful, too.

Thanks everyone. This is a great site. I spent a lot of time here in the past when I first bought the car to get it fixed up, but the car has been so darned dependable that I have not been around in quite a while
