240 in tank pump 200

When I was doing a check of the in tank pump and filter, I noticed that the pump was installed off center from the sending pipe. I believe the previous owner replaced the unit in this way. The flex pipe is in good condition and NOT kinked. Just in a "S" curve. The pump is tightly wedged in and would not budge without breaking the plastic holding collar. And I didn't want to bend any thing metal for fear of braking it. Will this be a problem? The car and pump are running great. I wonder if it will wear on the flex pipe if left in this formation. Thanks all in advance!
