1987 Volvo 240 Sedan Blower Fan 200 1987

Last winter my blower fan started to act up. When it was on position 3 or 4 it may not work at all or it may be dragging. Some days it worked fine at these speeds and eventually just slowed down to a crawl. It seems the lower speeds worked well all the time. Over the summer I had not problems at all with all fan speeds working. Now the blower fan does not come on at all.

Is this related to my resistor going bad. If so, while I'm replacing the resistor is there any other maintenance I should perform. My car has about 220,000 miles on it.

Many thanks. Joel
