1984 Volvo TIC idles fine, cuts off when returning to idle after throttle let-off 200 1984

I have a 1984 Volvo 240TIC with k-jet and am having problems with it cutting off when engine speeds return to idle after letting off throttle. It idles perfectly(for k cam) at 1k but I often see 4-500 rpms before the fuel kicks back in and sometimes completely shuts off. It tends to like to shut-off mid-corner; can be dangerous losing brake-assist and power steering at that time.

Anybody have some likely culprits I could start checking out? I am guessing it is vac leak or distributor, but would love some advice on where to start looking.

Thanks,
