Should I Upgrade Transfer Pump? 200 1986

The existing pump has given out completely, with the main one not far behind. Per Art's suggestion, I've verified that my wiring and connections are good. So I'll be changing both fuel pumps and filters in the coming weeks.

IPD is offering a higher-volume, upgraded transfer pump--for a little over twice the price of the standard unit. Minor surgery is supposed to be involved as well. But I'm wondering if this might be overkill for my application. Should I shell out for it--or stick with the standard one?

Thanks once again,
Brendan.
