rear main seal, you'll be the death of me... 200 1985

Just when I finally thought maybe things would look up for me, my rear main seal issue popped it's ugly head again.

What is the secret to putting those buggers on?! I've looked on the FAQ, and have gone through 2 different seals in trying to get the darn thing in.

I have the retainer clip (?) off, and that didn't help. It just ripped a nice chunk out of the RMS (rendering it unusable now) as I tried to put it in.

Now I have to wait till monday to get one (unless i want to buy one for 5X as much money at a local parts store)..

How the heck do you get it in?
