K-Jetronic flooding even with correct fuel pressures!! 200 1979

My 1979 244 (with no electronics except transistorised ignition) has hard starting both cold and hot (sometimes no starting) and when started runs terribly idling on what sounds like 1 or 2 cylinders for 5 or so seconds (provided throttle is opened wide) then stalls. Occasionally I have got it to run on all cylinders at 3000 rpm for as long as needed but if I drop the speed it runs for a few seconds then stalls as described above.

I checked out fuel pressures (system, control hot & cold, rest) with JC Whitney test gauge and they are OK (although cold control pressure is 0.1 bar below spec tolerance: 1.5 vs 1.6, not a trauma). Fuel flow rates pass specs.

I had the electrics checked out on a high voltage scope which were OK, but the auto-electrician says its flooding. Plugs are slightly sooty even after a few minutes of chaotic idling.

Control plunger and air-sensor plate or arm is not sticking and sensor plate is at correct height (level with top of narrowest section of venturi). Cold start injector runs for correct time and does not leak.

I have not checked all 4 injectors for spray pattern, flow or leakage since I have assumed (hopefully correctly) that all 4 injectors cant go bad simultaneously. They are 4 years old.

I have not touched the mixture adjustmement screw (need special long 3mm Allen key?), plus as this screw is a right-hand-thread if it comes a bit loose (unscrews?) this will lean the mixture. Or can it somehow move enriching the mixture? It has no lock nut so must be a tight fit in an oily environment due to crankcase fumes.

P.S. The car is dual-fuel and runs very well on LPG (liquified petroleum gas) but I want to keep it also working on gasoline.
