Help with short wife's 940 power seat problem 900 1991

Hi,

I have a 91 940 SE wagon. Power seats (no memory). The drivers side is stuck in the rear most position. The switch & motor work. Looking under the seat from behind I can see the drive cable on the left side of seat (drivers side)move when the switch is engaged.
Any fixes or am I pulling the beast out?
I have an older Volvo green manual that shows how to remove a manual seat,are the mounts the same for the power seats?
