Hello All,

So in my attempt to get the old girl running like she used to I went a bought a timing gun... no more tuning by ear.... well now there are no timing marks, and the little pointer is gone!? The last time I did a proper tune up was last summer with a timing gun and it was all there and normal.

I got myself into this mess because the carbs were leaking air something terrible and I kept bumping up the dizzy to keep the car running. Yes stupid of me.

But I am taking my time- refreshed carbs, lighting and wiring but I can't tune the carbs or the engine properly without the marks. What is going on?

The marks don't just get rubbed off- I decreased the pulley and still now marks.

What am I missing folks?
