ECT resistance values 200

Hello all,
I'm going to be replacing the ECT sensor (under intake #3) on our 93 940 NA. I have not measured its resistance yet, but the OBD is telling me to replace it (code 2-2-4) terminal 6.
I stopped by the junkyard and pulled one, matching by color (I've seen black ones and white ones, the black has a yellow connector and the white has a blue connector. I need the black one, and found 2. Only got one because of an incoming thunderstorm, so I'll have to come back for the other one if this one is no good.

With a Multimeter it seems the resistance values are about double what they should be. Out of the freezer I got ~ 17k ohms, room temp ~ 4000-5000 ohms, and in hot water (not boiling, but close) I got around 1600 ohms.

Question is: is there any difference b/w the black/yellow sensors and the white/blue sensors? Are all the references (bentley, faq's etc) base on white/blue combo, and my system is just different? Or do I just need to head back to the yard and pick a few more?

And off the top of my head I can't tell you which FI system it is etc etc...but from what I've read this sensor is (maybe) the same for all?
Sorry if this is a bit long...thanks for the tips!

Koos
