Classic Cars? 200

So much has changed, I think.

I sold my 89 245 to join the minivan crowd in 2003. We’ve kept the S70 since, but I longed for another 240. The S70 didn’t inspire constant Brickboard reading (to get instructions, for example, on how to extend 245 tailgate wiring, and learning to call that black sticky stuff ‘snot’), but I kept in touch with suppliers such as FCP and IPD.

10 days ago I finally found a 244, 1988, 5 speed, body in great condition, 149k miles. Wow. Fewer miles by far than our great 98 S70.

So I’ve been back here for a few days reading. Recognize quite a few names. Still a passion out there for the old bricks for sure ……..

But so much has changed – not nearly as much ebay action for example – no auctions for center armrests? No auctions for much of anything …..

Are our bricks too old now? Are they becoming classic cars instead of solid every day transportation?

Oh well, who cares – I have my to-do list:

Trailing arm bushings, motor mounts, shocks and struts, and on and on ……. This is great!
