heater hose replacement 200 1993

I have to disagree with the other posters who suggest removing the intake manifold. Unless there's a good reason to think the gasket is bad there isn't any reason to do it. I've changed heater hoses on dozens of Volvos and have yet to remove a manifold to do the job. Use a quarter inch ratchet with extension and swivel socket (7mm) for the clamps--that combo will make all the difference. Slit the old hose ends to facilitate removal and the use of a pair of long needle nose pliers helps guide the new hose on. -- Dave
