300K miles and Oil Pan issue 700 1992

Hey Guys,

My 1992 745 Wagon hit 300,000 miles last friday!


Now, I stripped out my oil drain plug with the IPD magnetic bolt. I see that in the FAQ's they said the best solution is to replace the oil pan altogether. I'm all for that but I'm currently trying to find one. Does the Aluminum Foil idea also listed work well enough to get me by until I can replace the oil pan? How about the rubber seal idea as well?

Thanks for the help guys, without this site, I wouldn't have 300k on this baby!
