Speaker grille removal 900 1991

I searched the FAQ but couldn't find the naswer so here goes. Looking to upgrade frt & rear door speakers. I'm looking for the proper way to remove the speaker grilles without breaking the mounting tabs (91 940 SE Wagon). Feel a bit foolish asking such a basic question but they don't seem to want to come off very easily.
