Advice (behind dashboard) on installing a new wiper motor? 200 1984

Hi all.
I'm about to install a replacement windshield wiper motor (it should be delivered later today) on my 1984 240.
The installation on the engine side of the firewall seems obvious, but I'm soliciting advice (including pictures) of what to do on the passenger compartment side (besides removing the glovebox for access), where the shaft attaches to the wiper linkage.
Any advice, tips to make it easier, etc., on how to remove and later reinstall the shaft on the pulley and linkage is appreciated -- I'm particularly concerned not to mess up the positions of the pulley system, as well as any other things that I haven't even anticipated.
In advance, thanks.
