Wheel Stud Issues 200

This is an issue I've struggled with since owning the car. I use tire shop to swap out my snow and summer tires.

When I go to do work on my car, which requires wheel removal I always have trouble with the wheel studs. I've even have had the rear studs replaced since they became badly stripped.

Does anyone have any suggestions for minimizing the stud stripping?

When it starts to become difficult to bolt the tires on and off should I replace the nut or add some WD40?
